Ida was a long standing member having joined us back in 1990s and sadly passed away last year in her 90s. She was a quiet but happy member who was much liked. Her daughter kindly allowed us to sell her remaining pots and plants and generously donated the money to create an award in Ida’s name. A lovely small bronze image of a Woodcock rising in flight was chosen and this year the Award was given for the accent or kusamono plant voted best by the members in June. The winner was Chris S with her planting of Rhodohypoxis ‘Bridal Bouquet’. The second place was Delyse with her single rhodohypoxis in a unique Erin pot and third was Lynda with her wee grasses.
